Simple ways to stay fit and healthy

Under the leadership of the World Health Organization, people have to focus on global health issues. The theme for this year is the universal health coverage: Everyone, everywhere. Fit and healthy living plays an important role in our life, but nowadays, people neglect their health due to their busy schedule. There are a few things everyone can do every day to keep their health in good condition. Here are some things you can do to stay healthy:

Get Enough Sleep:
Sleep affects our physical and mental health tremendously, and many of us do not get enough. Make sure to get seven to nine hours of sleep in the night.

Do Exercise
Go for a walk or run to enjoy some pre-festivities alone time, or grab your favorite second cousin to catch up. Exercise is important for being fit and healthy. Exercise also improves circulation and body awareness, and regular exercise can help combat depression.

Eat a healthy balanced diet
Eat fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains to stay healthy and fit. One should eat balanced food and not eat much. Avoid highly processed foods that contain artificial sweeteners or colors, hidden sugars or excessive fat.

Drink Water
Drink lots of water because it helps to keep our body hydrated and maintaining healthy body. This is natural cleaning for our limbs and digestive system. Water also helps to remove toxins through skin and urine.

Do not take stress:
Stress is not good because it damages the body and can lead to innumerable problems from digestive problems to heart problems. Practices, meditations, which you like, enjoy some good hobbies which can help to reduce the harmful effects of stress on the body. Take breaks (vacations, mini-vacations, days off) and surround yourself with people who support you.
